Hope everyone had a nice Spring Break. I had a lovely time in London and Southern England. Am trying to get my pictures together so I can share them with my students.

Progress Reports went home on Tuesday, March 18.

LA 1 and LA 7 are finishing reading the book, A Year Down Yonder by Richard Peck. It is a book set in the 1937 during the Great Depression. A fifteen-year-old girl has to move in with her grandmother because her father lost his job. The grandmother is quite a character. This book is worth 4 AR points.
Spelling words are in Unit 20 this week.

LA 4 has begun reading the book Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech. This book tells the story of thirteen-year-old Salamanca Tree Hill and her journey from Ohio to Idaho with her unusual grandparents. They have many adventures along the way. This book is so good that a couple of my students have already finished it.
We had our Vocabulary Test for Unit 10 today. I will try to have it graded and returned before they leave. Better go grade them now!
