We continued using our REASS strategies to make our writing better. It is amazing how just a few steps can turn our writing into creations.

A NOTE TO ALL Students and Parents:
My mother's Alzheimer’s is progressing at an incredibly rapid pace. I am not sure how much longer I will be able to care for her at home. I may need to take a day or so off to explore alternative care. I thought you should be aware of my situation.

LA 1 and LA 7
We are working on revising one of our Journal stories. We practiced doing REASS on these papers. Now we are typing the papers with the corrections and elaboration.
REASS =
R= Raciocination
E = Elaboration
A = Adjectives and nouns
S = Similes and their cousins
S = Senses
LA 4
We completed the PowerPoint Summaries of The Cay We are working on Unit 4 of Vocabulary Workshop. We are adding five (5) words each night. Test will be on Friday.
Students will be reading Julie of the Wolves by Jean Craighead George. This is a book about an thirteen-year-old Eskimo girl who runs away from an arranged marriage and gets lost on the tundra. She befriends a pack of wolves for survival.
